About the Wine Maker
Cava is an official designated wine that can only be made in Spain. Whilst the denomination (Cava DO) extends across a number of Spanish regions, the Penèdes is the heartland and accounts for over 95% of all Cava production.
Vilarnau is located in the heart of Cava territory in the town od Sant Sadurni' d'Anoia. It now belongs to the famous sherry bodega, Gonzalez Byass, which purchased the property in 1982.
About the Cava
'Jean Perico' Cava is a clear pale yellow with golden highlights and a good creamy mousse. Small bubbles with correct detachment and persistent crown. Frank and intense on the nose, aromas of fruit, green apples and light aromas of aging process. Well structured in the mouth, good balance of tastes, smooth, and persistent.
